Earth Cookies
We made sugar cookies and added some green and blue swirls to make it look like the Earth in honor of Earth Day. We followed a recipe: measuring, stirring, preheating the toaster oven, and timing how long they had to bake. We managed to stop and smell the vanilla, feel the slippery butter and draw in the flour that was all over the table.
Some of us found it fascinating to watch the cookies transform while they baked.
