It Looked Like Spilt Milk

This morning, we did our first activity purposefully connecting to a book that we read in morning meeting. This is something I’m planning on doing as often as I can, considering the Cherry Blossoms’ love of reading. Today we read a copy of It Looked Like Spilt Milk, about different shapes that clouds in the sky can look like. After we read the book, the Blossoms had the chance to create their own ‘spilt milk’ print, using white paint on blue paper. Then they told us what their shape was. The activity was a great way to encourage connection between books and our real life and flex their imaginations and creativity.
