Caterpillars!
The Blossoms were very excited that our cup of caterpillars arrived! I ordered them from Insect Lore, which also has a number of fun kits and other items that let children explore the world of insects.
We’ve ordered the Painted Lady butterflies in the past and every time, we’ve been lucky enough that the kiddos were able to catch at least one of the butterflies in action emerging from its chrysalis. Fingers crossed that we get lucky again!
Once they mature, we keep them in the classroom for a few days for observation, then release them on the playground.
